7. og 8. februar var det duket for sesongens store motebegivenhet, OSLO RUNWAY. Her viste landets beste designere frem sine kleskolleksjoner for innkjøpere, presse og influencers.
– 25.februar.
Her er designerne som stiller ut:
Admir Batlak is a Bosnian-born Norwegian designer. Upon graduating from Milan’s Istituto Marangoni and a stint at Dolce & Gabbana, he returned to Oslo to start his own label.
His work puts special emphasis on textile development and innovative construction. With clear references to art and fashion history, social movements and youth culture, his collections demonstrate a constant exploration of classic feminine codes and comment their relevance in a contemporary fashion context.
Through collaborations with artists and art institutions, he continually seeks to challenge the show format and elevate the perception of fashion design.
ELISABETH STRAY PEDERSEN
Elisabeth Stray Pedersen is a womenswear designer based in Oslo, Norway. She studied an MA in fashion womenswear at Oslo National Academy, and has made costume orders since the company was founded in 2009.
In 2015 she bought Lillunn factory and started producing and deliver high quality ready to wear garments under her own name to shops in Norway and Japan. Today the brand also delivers to the US and Netherlands. This year the new brand name E S P was launched.
The garments are developed and made at Lillunn factory in Drammen, Norway.
I wanted to work with fake surfaces, fake prints, fake everything. Banal square pattern cutting and cheap tricks like drawstrings and eyelets. The idea was to see how much some looks from last season would change with a surface makeover and also how super simply cut pieces can feel special without over designing. I really enjoy small changes and ideas that becomes bigger than they should, or just the way they should be.
Moiré Volume 02 -Young Guns – Inspired by youth subcultures and identity, Moiré’s second collection Young Guns is a bit darker than the previews one. With clear references from school uniforms and menswear winter coats, the collection is filled with oversized outwear and over dimensional details like Button plackets, sleeves and cuffs. The collection is small and curated with one of kind items that can easily be used together. With a relaxed and unique look, all the clothes are made from the finest fabrics in a tailored way. From soft silk and rayon to wool and colourful faux fur.
SINCE is a footwear design studio proudly based in Oslo and established in 2015. The brand is headed by the creative designer Siri Findal, who has worked in the fashion industry for several years. it was born with the mission to create high-end footwear with superior craftsmanship, comfort and design. The lack of contemporary cool quality shoe brands in Norway, as well as her huge interest for shoes as sculptural pieces of art inspired Siri to start SINCE.
The collection offers women a modern range of casual and party shoes, inspired by art, architecture, trends and life. SINCE consciously produces on the basis of fairtrade and sustainability.
AW17 is the second fall collection from the brand. This time Siri has found inspiration from both the old western cowboy look and saturdaynight fever glam, mixed with details from the 60´s. The colletion is named «WESTERN FEVER» and contains lots of cool boots for everyday and work, but also some amazing models for party all year around. There are a shoe for mostly all women here.
